Executive Director: Dana Chomenko MA, PMP Role: Coordinate organizational activities, planned programming, fundraising campaigns, and partnership activities; serve as lead for planning and execution of the annual National Summit for Health Communication.
About Dana: Dana Chomenko, MA, PMP, is Vice President of Public Health Research and Evaluation at BLH Technologies, Inc. She oversees BLH’s public health portfolio, including projects across the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Chomenko provides thought leadership and strategic planning support, contributes to the planning and implementation of research and evaluation projects, and develops and disseminates public health information products. For over 15 years, Chomenko has provided support to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services agencies and non-profit organizations. She also serves as a coordinator for the recently launched Council for Quality Health Communication. Chomenko earned a B.A. from the College of New Jersey and M.A. from The Ohio State University.
Communications Director: Diane Brodalski Role: Lead development and execution of Society communication strategies and tactics including member communications.
About Diane: Diane Brodalski is a seasoned communication and marketing professional having worked on private and public sector strategic initiatives. For over 15 years, Brodalski has been a consultant and contractor for government agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). She provided counsel on a number of topics including global health security, HIV prevention and testing, and smoking cessation and served as a member of the CDC’s Covid-19 Emergency Response Vaccine Task Force. Brodalski was the Executive Director for the Society from June 2021 to December 2023 supporting the Society’s growth through educational programming, two hybrid Society Summits, and its new annual giving campaign.
Community Manager: Tiasia Saunders, MPH, CHES Role: Manage social media content for the Society’s official LinkedIn and Twitter channels to promote and share information about the Society and health communication field. About Tiasia: Tiasia Saunders, MPH, CHES, is a public health professional who is enthusiastic about improving patient care and nutrition security through sound science and meaningful communication pathways. Saunders is experienced in working with healthcare professionals and organizations to help improve patient care, diversity, equity, inclusion, food security, and health literacy. She is a Meditech Expanse Trainer for HCA Healthcare and advocate to help consumers understand health information and make informed health decisions. Saunders has a B.S. from Austin Peay State University and MPH from Kansas State University.
